Every year thousands of BD students open a Facebook page shop, sell for six weeks, and quietly stop. The failure is almost never the product — it is that nobody told them what the model actually demands. Here are the numbers.

Two models, two completely different risks

Inventory model: you buy stock upfront, you own the margin, you carry the risk of unsold goods. Dropship model: you list a supplier's product, the supplier ships, your margin is thinner but your capital risk is near zero. Pick a niche you already understand

You already know the price sensitivity, the objections and the language. Do not sell into a market you have to research from zero — you have no time for that education, and margin thin enough to punish every guess.

Write three stop conditions before you launch: (1) a total taka amount you are willing to lose; (2) a weekly hour cap; (3) a result threshold — if your class tests or chapter tracking drop for two consecutive weeks, you pause. Be clear-eyed: a small student shop typically produces modest monthly profit. A better admission result can change your earning ceiling for thirty years. Business is worth doing for the skill and the confidence — it is rarely worth doing at the expense of the seat. Run both if you can track both; drop the shop if you cannot.
